On January 26, 2009 CMS announced that the following four Networks will be a part of the phase I rollout of CROWNWeb to begin February 1, 2009:

• Network 3, also known as Trans-Atlantic Renal Council, serving the state of New Jersey and the territories of Puerto Rico and the U.S. Virgin Islands;
• Network 8, serving the states of Alabama, Mississippi, and Tennessee;
• Network 12, also known as the Heartland Kidney Network, serving the states of Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska; and
• Network 16, also known as the Northwest Renal Network, serving the states of Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington.

This means that Network #17 is NOT INCLUDED in the initial rollout of CROWNWeb and therefore ALL facilities SHOULD return to submitting paper forms including the 2728, 2746, and PAR to Network #17. Any forms that you have been holding onto in January will NOT be counted as being late.

CMS has NOT provided any additional information about how long phase I will last, or when other facilities and Networks might expect to begin using CROWNWeb.
