CfC Overview

On April 15, 2008 CMS published updated ESRD Conditions for Coverage. CMS develops CfCs that health care organizations must meet in order to begin and continue participating in the Medicare and Medicaid programs. These minimum health and safety standards are the foundation for improving quality and protecting the health and safety of beneficiaries. You may read the full CfC from the CMS Web site.
